The Hare & Hounds Charlton Down is a traditional country restaurant in a beautiful setting just north of Andover, in the depths of leafy Hampshire.  Under new management since January 2024, we've recently undergone a major refurbishment and now boast a new, expanded dining area with patio doors opening out to our extensive garden terrace. 
 
We offer a carefully-selected range of fine wines, beers & lagers and a range of excellent, traditional, locally-sourced Hampshire produce, all freshly home-cooked food. Whilst we’re renowned for our fish dishes, tender steaks and famous half lamb shoulder, we offer an excellent range of vegetarian and gluten-free options too. 

We're also have the facilities and plenty of experience in catering for private functions, so whether you're planning a special birthday or anniversary celebration, a company or networking event, a wake (we're just over a mile from Charlton Park Crematorium) or something else... please get in touch and we'll be more than happy to tailor a package to meet your needs.
